Dr Quint is a Clinical Senior Lecturer in Respiratory Epidemiology at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London and Honorary Consultant Physician in Respiratory Medicine at Royal Brompton Hospital, London. She trained in Medicine prior to undertaking a PhD, both at University College London followed by an MSc in Epidemiology at LSHTM. She held an MRC Population Health Scientist Fellowship at LSHTM and built up her own Respiratory Epidemiology research group prior to moving across to Imperial College in 2015. She still maintains close links with LSHTM, holds an honorary contract there and is involved in DL MSc Epidemiology teaching as well as PhD supervision.

Her research interests centre on the use of electronic health records to study chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) as well as other chronic respiratory diseases including bronchiectasis and asthma. The majority of her work has been on exacerbations of COPD, exploring both the effect of COPD exacerbations on vascular outcomes and the relationship between environmental factors and exacerbations of COPD. Additionally she has undertaken several pieces of work in validation of identification of respiratory diseases in electronic health records.
